Dining in Pittsburgh? Try Dinette!

Dinette, Pittsburgh PA
Using locally sourced ingredients, the menu changes often.

If I recall correctly the menu changes each week.  It seems the standard pizza is always on the menu, simple preparation with light red sauce, basil and fresh mozzarella.  When we went they had some shishito peppers that were served on a plate filled with bright green olive oil.  The peppers were seasoned with sea salt and topped with marcona almonds and goat cheese.  We had the pizza I describe above and the crust was perfection.  Thin, crispy but enough texture that you could taste the dough.  Baked in a wood burning oven these pies come out quick, giving you enough time to order another (if only!)
Loved the food, the atmosphere is modern and utilitarian.  The restaurant is located on the upper level of a strip mall, on the plus side parking is easy.  Wine selections by the glass were average, we had the malbec and it worked for taking the chill off a cold rainy night.
